Engadget.com has a very short article explaining that "Mitsubishi develops laser-powered projection TV". It reports that Mitsubishi company has announced its development of the world's first rear-projection TV powered by a laser instead of the mercury lamps normally used in other projector TV's. The laser projector is claimed to offer higher picture quality and a greater color pallete range than plasma or LCD display sets.
